Reading and Writing room finished ingame

And another area fully implemented, the reading and writing room. I have made some changes to the model to correct some stuff I wasn't satisfied with. For example, the ceiling now has ornaments textured onto it. The mirror above the fireplace has been remodelled and now has a reflection of the room, the carpet has been changed to a better color and some other minor bugs have been fixed. Overall I think this looks way better opposed to how it once looked before without the fixes and sectors.Reading and Writing room finished ingame

B-Deck Corridor revision

All project files are pretty much organized now (finally!), meaning I can proceed on the modelling. As mentioned, I'll now be focusing on all of the ship's corridors. If anyone remembers these renders from 2009: http://www.moddb.com/mods/mafia-titanic-mod/images/deck-c3#imagebox You will know that the B deck corridors between the staterooms definitely needed a revision. These corridors are now completely remodelled and made much more accurate and appealing to the eye. I'm not going to add cabin numbers unfortunately since I'll need to move on to the rest of the ship.B-Deck Corridor revision

It has been shown on the progress chart for a while but every time a different area came first. Since I'm working on B deck, I can now finally mark this green; the 1st class entrance on B deck. The door you see at the back facing the camera leads to the private promenade of the Parlour Suites B51, 53 & 55.B-Deck 1st Class Entrance

The grand staircase model didn't exactly fit the new corridors so it had to be corrected. Now it fits perfectly between the entrance area and the connecting corridors. Also the stair landing has been changed to match the design that was recently discovered by the guys from Four Funnels Entertainment. Interesting comparison, this is how the same area looked a couple years back in this mod: http://www.moddb.com/mods/mafia-titanic-mod/images/titanic-ingame3#imagebox http://www.moddb.com/mods/mafia-titanic-mod/images/titanic-ingame2#imageboxB Deck Grand Staircase Fix

After some work making the remaining decks fit in my ship it's time to proceed with C Deck. (My 3D model doesn't fit properly to the CAD plans causing some frustrating issues) First on the list, the aft Grand Staircase. This area is now finally finished. This lesser known staircase is very similar to the popular one located in front of the ship. Only this staircase runs just between three decks and is slightly smaller in size as well.Aft Grand Staircase finished

C Deck Middle Corridors

The first class stateroom corridors are now finished as well. This was probably the most tedious area to make in the entire ship. Mostly because almost none of the doors are symmetrical between both sides of the ship. This therefore required a ton of manual labor in adding the wall paneling and ceiling. I basically had to make two different corridors instead of making one and mirroring it to the other side. Combine that with the ship's sheer, asymmetric side corridors and a complex style and you got a recipe for a headache. Anyway, I'm glad with the result. Good news is, this was the last corridor with such detailed panelling. The rest of the ship's corridors will have a far more generic style which is way easier to make.C Deck Middle Corridors
